Jorge Mario Jáuregui

Jorge Mario Jáuregui is an Argentinian architect-urbanist known for his research and work with the socio-spatial division of Rio de Janeiro’s favelas. He is the author of over 20 projects in the Favela-Bairro (‘Slum-to-Neighbourhood’) programme implemented by Rio’s city government in the 1990s to improve living conditions in the city’s neighbourhoods. He is an associate researcher at the Laboratory of Morphology SICyT-FADU/UBA Buenos Aires and a member of the Art and Psychoanalysis Cartel at the psychoanalytic Letra Freudiana Institution in Rio de Janeiro.
